Recycled Marine Plastic PP Granulate
Recycled Marine Plastic PP Granulate
Source your recycled plastic feedstock directly from the ocean. Odyssey Innovation is a UK supplier of bulk recycled marine plastic PP (Polypropylene) granulate, produced from post-consumer plastic recovered through our Marine Regeneration Scheme and Net Regeneration Scheme — giving waste plastic a second life as a verified industrial raw material.
Every kilogram of granulate you purchase directly supports our Paddle for Plastic campaign, driving behavioural change in coastal and fishing communities and keeping plastic out of our oceans.
Available in 20kg bags (MOQ) or 1 tonne bulk bags, across five colour grades. Custom quantities and colour grades available on request. Technical data sheets available on request.
Available Colour Grades:
- Black — highly consistent colour
- Grey — highly consistent colour; ideal for applications requiring dyeing or pigmentation
- White — highly consistent colour
- Neon — highly consistent colour
- Mixed Marine — a blend of similarly coloured recovered material; shades may vary batch to batch. Any surface marking (e.g. ink) will disappear during melting and processing.
All material is inspected and processed to remove contaminants. PP produces no dangerous fumes during melting when processed within recommended temperature ranges. If you require a specific shade or purity level, please contact us — we can often accommodate custom requirements.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is recycled marine plastic PP granulate?
Marine plastic PP granulate is post-consumer polypropylene recovered from UK coastlines and the Mediterranean through our Marine Regeneration and Net Regeneration Schemes, cleaned, processed, and converted into pellets or regrind suitable for use as a raw material in manufacturing.
Can it be used for injection moulding?
Yes — recycled PP granulate is well-suited to injection moulding. PP is widely used in injection moulding for packaging, automotive parts, and consumer goods. We recommend requesting a data sheet and conducting trials prior to full production runs.
Can it be used for extrusion?
Yes — extrusion is a primary processing route for recycled PP granulate, used in pipe, profile, sheet, and fibre manufacturing.
How does PP differ from HDPE?
PP (Polypropylene) is lighter and more flexible than HDPE, with a higher melting point and excellent chemical resistance. It is widely used in packaging, automotive components, textiles, and living hinge applications. Both are suitable for injection moulding and extrusion.
Is it suitable for rotational moulding?
No — this granulate is not suitable for rotational moulding. A fine powder grade is required for rotomoulding applications.
Is grey granulate suitable for dyeing?
Yes — grey is the most versatile colour grade for applications requiring pigmentation or dyeing, as it provides a neutral base that accepts colour more readily than darker grades.
How consistent is the colour?
Black, Grey, White, and Neon grades are highly consistent. The Mixed Marine grade is a blend of similarly coloured recovered material and shades may vary between batches. Any surface marking such as ink will disappear during melting and processing. If you need a specific shade or purity level, please contact us.
Are there any fumes during processing?
PP produces no dangerous fumes during melting when processed within recommended temperature ranges. Data sheets with full processing guidance are available on request.
Do you provide data sheets and sustainability documentation?
Yes. Technical data sheets are available on request, along with chain-of-custody documentation and impact data to support your sustainability reporting or product marketing claims.

Everything you need to know about Plastic Credits & Certification
Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Plastic Credit?
A Plastic Credit is a verified certificate that proves a specific quantity of plastic has been physically recovered from the ocean or coastal environment on your behalf. Unlike donations, each credit represents a real, completed action — plastic that has been collected, processed, and diverted from the marine ecosystem. It's one of the most direct ways an individual or business can take measurable responsibility for plastic pollution.
What is Plastic Neutral certification?
Plastic Neutral certification means that the plastic footprint associated with your lifestyle or business has been offset by an equivalent quantity of verified marine plastic recovery. You receive an official certificate in your name that you can display, share, and use to demonstrate your commitment to ocean conservation.
What does my purchase actually pay for?
Your payment funds the hands-on work of recovering marine plastic — beach cleans, fishing net collection schemes, and coastal operations run directly by Odyssey Innovation. We are not a middleman. Every penny goes into the physical recovery and processing of plastic that would otherwise remain in the ocean.
What do I receive after buying a Plastic Credit?
You'll receive an official Plastic Neutral Certificate delivered digitally, typically within 1–3 working days. This certificate is in your name, verifiable, and yours to use publicly — on your website, social media, or printed materials.
I've never heard of Plastic Credits before — is this legitimate?
Yes. Plastic Credits are a recognised mechanism for addressing plastic pollution, similar in concept to carbon credits but focused on physical plastic recovery. Odyssey Innovation operates with full additionality — meaning the plastic we recover would not have been collected without our direct intervention. We are transparent about our operations and the certification we issue is genuine and verifiable.
Can my business buy Plastic Credits to offset its plastic consumption?
Absolutely. We offer Plastic Credit certifications specifically designed for businesses — from sole traders and micro businesses through to large enterprises. Purchasing credits allows your company to demonstrate measurable environmental responsibility, support your ESG or sustainability reporting, and communicate your commitment to customers and stakeholders. Browse our business tiers to find the right level for your organisation.
How can I use Plastic Neutral certification in my business marketing?
Your certification is yours to use freely. Many businesses display the Plastic Neutral badge on their website, packaging, email signatures, and social media. It's a credible, verifiable signal to customers that your company is taking real action — not just making promises. We actively encourage you to share it.
How is this different from other environmental offset schemes?
Many offset schemes fund future projects, pay third parties, or rely on estimates. Odyssey Innovation physically recovers plastic from the marine environment ourselves — the action happens before you receive your certificate. We operate with full additionality, meaning nothing we recover would have been collected without our direct involvement. You're paying for something that has already happened, not a promise of future action.
Is a Plastic Credit a one-off purchase or a subscription?
Each credit is a one-off purchase. However, if you'd like ongoing Plastic Neutral status — for yourself or your business — we offer annual certification plans that keep your accreditation current year-round.
How much plastic does one credit offset?
Each Plastic Credit represents a verified quantity of recovered marine plastic. The specific amount is confirmed on your certificate. Our pricing is structured to make meaningful impact accessible — whether you're an individual taking your first step or a large business looking to offset significant consumption.
