What Is Recycled Marine Plastic Granulate?
Marine plastic granulate is post-consumer plastic — recovered from the ocean, coastlines, and fishing nets — that has been cleaned, sorted, shredded, and processed into pellets or regrind. The result is a raw material that can be fed directly into standard plastic processing equipment, just like virgin plastic, but with a verified circular economy origin story.
We currently produce two polymer grades:
- HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) — rigid, durable, excellent for injection moulding, extrusion, and sheet pressing. Widely used in packaging, construction, furniture, and consumer goods.
- PP (Polypropylene) — lighter and more flexible than HDPE, with a higher melting point and excellent chemical resistance. Ideal for packaging, automotive components, textiles, and living hinge applications.

Where Does the Plastic Come From?
Our granulate is not generic recycled plastic. Every kilogram has a traceable origin through one of our two recovery schemes.
Marine Regeneration Scheme
Our Marine Regeneration Scheme focuses on the recovery of plastic waste from coastal environments — beaches, estuaries, and shorelines across the UK and the Mediterranean. Working with local communities, conservation groups, and coastal businesses, we collect, sort, and transport plastic waste to our processing facility where it is cleaned, shredded, and converted into granulate.
The Mediterranean recovery operations address one of the world's most plastic-polluted seas, where decades of tourism, fishing, and inadequate waste infrastructure have left a significant legacy of marine debris. Our operations there support local employment and provide an economic incentive for plastic recovery in communities that have historically had few options for dealing with plastic waste.
Net Regeneration Scheme
Our Net Regeneration Scheme targets one of the most damaging and least-addressed sources of ocean plastic: abandoned, lost, and discarded fishing gear. Ghost nets account for a significant proportion of large plastic debris in the ocean, entangling marine life and breaking down into microplastics over decades.
Through the Net Regeneration Scheme, we work directly with fishing communities and harbour authorities to collect end-of-life nets and fishing gear. This material is processed separately and contributes to our granulate supply, with full chain-of-custody documentation available for buyers who need to evidence the origin of their recycled content.
Paddle for Plastic: Driving Behaviour Change
Recovery schemes alone are not enough. Preventing plastic from entering the ocean in the first place requires behaviour change at the community level. That is the mission of our Paddle for Plastic campaign.
Paddle for Plastic engages coastal and fishing communities through education, events, and incentive programmes — making plastic stewardship a visible, valued, and rewarded activity rather than an afterthought. Every purchase of our granulate directly funds this campaign, creating a direct link between the materials you buy and the communities and coastlines that produced them.

Colour Grades Explained
We offer five colour grades across both HDPE and PP:
- Black — highly consistent, suitable for most industrial applications
- Grey — highly consistent, premium grade; ideal for dyeing and pigmentation applications
- White — highly consistent, clean appearance
- Neon — highly consistent, distinctive colour for visible applications
- Mixed Marine — a blend of similarly coloured recovered material; shades may vary batch to batch. Surface markings such as ink disappear during melting. Contact us for specific shade requirements.
Grey commands a slight premium due to its versatility for downstream pigmentation. All other grades are priced equally. Custom colour grades and blends may be available on request — contact us to discuss.
Processing and Safety
Both HDPE and PP are well-established, widely processed thermoplastics. They produce no dangerous fumes during melting when processed within recommended temperature ranges. Technical data sheets covering melt flow index, density, tensile strength, and processing parameters are available on request.
